Episode 8

Combat Missions, PTSD & Life After War with Danny Eakins

I talk with my friend Danny Eakins — a former Army Major who led more than 300 combat missions in Iraq and now works with Veterans Services helping soldiers and their families. We get into what combat actually does to a person, how PTSD shows up years later, the strange afterlife of military service, dating as a veteran, personal growth, and even Napster. It’s a grounded conversation about war, recovery, identity, and what it takes to rebuild a life once the adrenaline is gone.

I''ll be on a car/train/airplane trip for the next month and a half, and I'll be podcasting along the way. If you're into that kind of thing, turn on your notifications so you don't miss a thing.
